Wendell and I had the pleasure of spending an evening with Taylor and Emily at a friend's house for James Dean's birthday celebration. Both of these women were incredibly sweet, warm and engaging. But what struck us the most was the relationship between the two ... the strong mother-daughter bond was undeniable, but they also seemed to be 'best-friends' ... it was the 'two of them' against whatever life would throw their way. When we heard the tragic news, our hearts immediately went to Emily, whose grief must be overwhelming.
Wendell: I was mastering an album with Jeff Elliott when he got an email informing him of Taylor's sudden and tragic death. He told me and pointed to her album cover on his wall. I remembered her from the same party Marilyn spoke of. She was a bright and shining light. So young and fresh and ready for life's adventures.
Our hearts go out to Emily and her family and friends at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

We did not know Taylor, we were on a vacation in Cape Breton and were in the National Park at the same time as she was. We stayed in Cheticamp and in the morning, we heard the radio reports of her death. We were very shocked, and sad. On our return home, I have listened to her music and found her to be be a lovely singer. She has touched our lives in a totally unexpected way. Our prayers go out to her family.
