My thoughts are with Taylor's family and friends and with everyone else who has ever lost someone in a tragic accident.
I'm an aspiring actor/screenwriter.
I hope, if permitted, to get one or more of Taylor's songs on the soundtrack of a movie or tv-series.
When you look at her concert on this website, she seems so talented and so passionate.

Taylor, we will always remember you.

Among the many who first found Taylor's Music after the news of her death, it aches to know that there will be no tour to the States, or the world. Her warm wonderful soul shines brilliantly thru her music. She is now center stage in heaven. Sing sweetly Angel.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. I have also lost a child through miscarriage. Taylor will live on through her music. Her lyrics and melodies are sooo beautiful! I am a musician too.

I first visited this site shortly after Taylor's death and visited it again today (1/16/10) to listen to that 10/25 YouTube video of her last concert. I am glad to see that people are still signing in this guest book. People come and go, but some leave a footprint - a memory of themselves behind so they are always there - a little bit of reality that lasts forever. Hope Taylor's next life gets to be a bit longer, yet still as beautiful a start as this one was. -- Dorothy

Taylor Mitchell
She was a young musician from Toronto
Thought by many to be an up and coming star;
But her career and life would be cut short
In a way that could only be called bizarre.

Up to this point things were going quite well,
She was midway through her east coast tour;
While hiking on the Skyline trail in beautiful Cape Breton, she would meet up with more than what she bargained for.
To loose one's life on the streets of Toronto is understandable
But who would have even given the slightest thought;
That she would be attacked by a pair of vicious coyotes
Which for some reason were overly distraught.
As a result of the mauling they inflicted on her
The following day she would succumb;
This attack has not only baffled all the experts
But has left the community shocked and numb.
Because of this sad and tragic incident
We didn't really get to know this up and coming star;
To most everyone I've talked to about it
The whole thing still seems bizarre.
Many felt the sky would be the limit for her
But that would all end on the Skyline Trail;
We can sit and wonder why do these things happen
But usually our questions are to no avail.

We've got to believe that someone knows the reason
Other wise Taylor Mitchell's life will have been in vain;
The best answer I can come up with
Is that our loss is Heavens gain.

I'd like to say on behalf of all Nova Scotians
We'd like to express collectively;
To Taylor's family and her loved ones
We sincerely extend our deepest sympathy.
